Why does my heart…
Every single day I used to look for love and peace, and nowadays when I have nor love neither peace I feel less unhappy, because I don’t have any time and ability for such unimportant staff, now I understand when you feel happiness yourself it would really come to you… Just say yourself and Allah “Thanks” or “shukur”and “tauba” for living this really wonderful life and feeling such things like loving your family and friends, tasting the food and feeling that you are not alone in this really huge world… I’ve understood that loving yourself and your family at first brings you love from others or love yourself and others will love you… So this is the happiness, I think, and nothing more is necessary…
“CONTROL ROOM” – The Jehane Noujaim show
The film really imressed me, it made me think about how strong and powerfull the media can be. And such a huge role of Mass Media in International Relations made me realize that it works for people , in our case this is Al Jazeera working for Iraqi people that are suffering in war. the watching of the film comfirmed the idea that the Mass media is the strongest and the most powerfull weapon authorities use to implement their foreign policies.
I think, that the director of the film thought over all details of the film, put the order of the picture and interviews logically right. For example, at the beginning nof the film he showed the flying pigeons in the sky. That is very symbolical act. I think that means that the director hopes that the piece still exists and in future people would prevent any kind of war in the world. the other example, the suffering Iraqi people were shown in the film, the Bush’s draining off the stairway of the luxurous private plain, showimg him so well-cared, and happy for himself that he brought a so called “freedom” for Iraqi people. The Josh Rushing(US Central Command Press Officer) Interview was also thought over very good. His speech partly was shown in the screen were the director thought wuld be more eligible. These all shows how professionally was film made.
What i really liked about “CONTROL ROOM” is that athmosphere between journalists-colleagues working together to deliver that horror truth happenning in “Iraq liberation” to people who only listenes to Bush. Also, that picture where was shown the death of a journalist and crying about him his wife and colleagues made me feel bad. That was really terrible. that life of a journalist did not caused any value for those who killed him. Because , people think that a kournalist works only for a benefit, or a journalist can be ordered to do any work. That is not so. And a journalist goes to war place or “hot point” not because he was ordered and paid for this, just because this is his job, to put in danger his own life and struggle for truth and fairness.
Nevertheless, we know that a real journalist must be impartial. Also, “CONTROL ROOM” shows not only the big role of Al Jazeera in Arab world, it also tells about the work of Mass Media and relations among journalists in Mass Media world.
Easy and Dangerous Journalism
If you want to extract your opinion on Internet, you are welcome to create your own website (otherwise, weblog) and do whatever you want: post pictures, write any of your thoughts, predictions or conclusions etc. After that, any Internet surfer will become your potential reader or viewer. that is very interesting to be a journalist without anu bosses or producers, nobody will tell you to do this or do not do that. You are independent, you are free. That is why this type of journalism has become or becoming so popular among people. It is also, very dangerous, I think. As you now being a journalist is very responsible job. However, being weblogger does not include any responsibility, i think. A big PLUS here is that you can communicate with your readers or viewers immediately. You receive comments immediately after your post from visitors. That is good, I think. This is a power-being a weblogger. But, if everybody will have such kind of power, it comes that those people would be able to do whatever they want, what if that “journalists” are thinking about something like propaganda? I suppose, they would do it. And it will have its results.
Popular Journalism or Weblogging
How come that journalism has became so popular? The answer is simple…That is all Internet. Or weblogging. Yes, anybody who has computer and access to internet can create his/her own blog and type anything that is interesting for him. Further, he can receive many comments for posts. Blogs has many opportunities, for example, blog owner can become someone like TV reporter by posting his videos on his blog and let his viewers watch it and comment. So, that experience helps bloggers to get journalistic skills. It is very easy and interesting, because you may immediately receive comment for your posts. Also, it is much better that TV, radoio or newspapers. That is why this kind of journalism has become so popular.
